Porsche 912E FI compatibility to VW 75-83 AFC Injection?

this is probably an easy one for someone, but are these systems essentially the exact same?

if there are the same components, which from the images I think they are, then the testing and diagnostic tips in this manual would apply to us:

That is actually a pretty good manual though.

I have it printed up along with the others and I keep it in my 3 ring "bus binder".

I wish I had a 912E. I would look really good in it. Very Happy
