i have a 1776 with the petronix ignition and love it its only 60-80 bucks depending where you get it and is easy as pie to install.i think you will be happy with it.

I run a pertronix and it is great. If you use a pertronix make sure you also get the coil to use with it. I put the pertronix on and ran it then changed the coil. What a difference. Improved both performance and gas mileage.

Tronic,what size do you gap your plugs with that set up? I've been running the pertronix system for some time but now I just got their coil for a good price.
