Some soft rubbing compound, trying to stay out of artwork...?

That dash art truly is nice. You see so few hand-painted embellishments that are really nice, I hope you can preserve it. The rust under those front window seals is probably going to be a bit of an issue too.

Paint over that "art". It's unworthy.

In the south east we use a rust remover that the depo stores sell for sprinkler systems on well water with a high iron content. It will remove any rust stains without hurting paint or hurt vegetation.

Thanks guys, the area under the windows is rusty but its pretty soild underneath, so I think I can get on that with a wire wheel.
Im missing all the dash stuff, the drivers seat, and the shelf part? under the dash.
As far as the og red goes, I think its not going to make it, the nose looks straight from the inside and out, but theres a thin coat of filler on the red area that is not going to let out any og red. I might finsh pulling out all the gray since it s good and sparying the red over.
And the dash im going to try cleaning it around the art and see if I don't ruin it.

Well, Im going to start on the engine, its going to be a dp1600, maybe a 1641, Im on a budget, so I dont want to machine anything except for the full flow. Would anyone suggest a bigger cam, Im planning on upgraded heads, but Im not sure what setup to run. This is going to be a dalily driver, and Im also going to run a straight axle trans.

Hi,
A 1600 is a good motor but you would be better off with a single port , they have a bit more torque than a dual port. I would stay away from a 1641 because the thinner cylinder walls make for a hotter running engine which is a bigger deal for a harder working bus motor. Good Luck! Your project looks like a solid one to me!
