Wow, I have a set that looks just like that except with T4 intakes, what is the Weber model number on the carbs? |

Judging from the way the manifold base is turned 90 degrees, those are plenum manifolds with some form of Weber progressive carbs. A synchronous throttle two-barrel with a square base, such as a Zenith NDIX or Weber DCN/DCNF, would have one barrel in line with each intake port, rather than having both barrels dump into a plenum shared between the ports. _________________ 1966 Karmann-Ghia convertible |

Those are the infamous dual progressive Weber kit that were sold in the early 80's by Claudes Buggies (CB Perf). I worked on an engine in a buggy with this setup on it in the mid 90's and there were no parts available for those carburetors.
I called Weber / Redline and they laughed and said to call CB. I called CB and they had nothing. I ended up using accelerator pump diaphrams for the DFAV series progressive weber and making my own gaskets for the top of the carbs (tedious). When all was finished I syncronized them by ear because the syncrometer won't fit on top of those carbs. After some tinkering, it actually ran very well.
I'd say they are worth little to nothing due to unavailability of service parts. _________________ 1965 Beetle sedan

Bingo!... these come up from time to time in a thread...mostly about the type 4 application for what ever reason. They were smaller "baby progressives" no doubt some old Euro Stock when the most went to FI by the mid 80's they had to do some thing with them. |

I remember them buggers! I would think some of us old school guys would want them for the old school appearance. They actually ran pretty well. As Matthew said, parts are a challenge, but doable. Build 'em now and you will not have to worry about them for a long time. I am into the unusual myself so for old school affect and uniqueness, If I had 'em I would run 'em. _________________ Street legal fiberglass rocket ship

I'm running them on a 1600 type 3 motor in my buggy although no fittings on mine for ballance tube
Linkage was tricky to set up, luckily I had a center pivot from an old type 3 carb motor that I was able to modify
Real happy with the way they run no dead spots and can count the pistons firing , it idles so low
mine have 24 24 cast on the bodies ,through research found out they are webber 30DIC carbs originaly from a fiat 750 & yes tough to get parts for
If you're lookin to get rid of them I might be interested |

Is the spacing on those manifolds the same, could you run 32/36 progressives in their place? I thought I had seen that answered before but could not find it. |

If they are actually from a Fiat application then it was probably an 850 coupe or spyder. I bet the Fiat specialists will have the rebuild kits. I would run them for sure. |

Would those fit the 32/36 weber? The carbs in the pic look smaller. |
