The ignition coil on my 69 bus heats up and will not spark when warm. Do i need to replace the coil or is this caused by something else??? Any help would be great.

I'd try the condenser and or the coil, either one can cause that symptom when hot.
Condensers break down and most standard type coils on VW have oil in them which can leak out over time and you do not notice it , this causes the guts to overheat and...wallah! POS craps out on you.
