saw this in the gallery and it really caught my eye...any idea what the color scheme is?...
I have been contemplating what colors to repaint my bus and have been watching the different colors of bus pics for sometime now...maybe its the lighting/angle or someones unique colors...if they are stock colors i wanna know!...if its a custom/unique paint job, i think it looks great and very tasteful...i might try and come up with something similar (but don't want to be a complete copycat).....

Looks like it might be Mouse Grey and Pearl White to me, can't say for sure. The cloudy sky might be playing a trick on it too. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

It may be trying to be an og color, two tone won't work on panels. Won't stick right or something I heard. _________________ DKB |

this is a mango green and seagull gray 59, the green also looks kinda grey in this pic too.
Here is another Og paint this time, its could do with a polish, ans pitty some idiot has crashed it.
and some more
the last one is fresh paint so you can see it unfaded. |

Just focus on the emblem on the Bus in the first pic. It is absolutely grey. I think that Spooky needs to adjust his tint on his beer goggles... _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

When I took the picture the bus was green, not sure which, I was more interested in the Westy parked next to it ;- )
We were loosing light so I guess thats why it might look grey. _________________ 1954 Barndoor

Now it's looking like someones failed attempt at Mango Green/Seagull Grey.
How many different shades of Sealing Wax Red/Chestnut Brown have you guys seen on Buses at shows? Just for fun take note at the next big show you go to. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

I wonder if some day, no one will get the color matching right... then all we have is either faded OG paint bus's, and bad miss matched bus's. Someday? I guess thats happening right now.
You guys are weird.... all fighting about the tint of paint
Doesn't the paint code books tell you how much toners to use and all the relevant info for duplicating the color? I would expect any competent paint shop to be able to mix a paint to spec. They've never messed up on any cars we've had painted, but they were all Later '72 era vehicles. Usually we'd buy the paint from one place and take it to a good paint booth to have it done for a lot cheaper than a one stop shop. Even Earl Sheib does a good job if you do all the prep work and breathe down their necks |
