Where does the 4mm gas tank venting hose plug into????
What goes into the 2 holes here on the side?
Whats this black box for?
I have figured out the venting in the engine compartment finally.......

The hose should connect to a fitting on
the driver's side of your fuel tank. If you find
no fitting, you may have a replacement tank.
The 2 holes are for routing a fuel vapor vent hose
from the same area of the tank, but only on early Ghias.
It went directly to outside/atmosphere!
VW kept the same metal stamping there, even after
they no longer vented in that way. Hello EPA. 
Black box is your flasher relay unit.
