Nope...it's a Mohave Beige according to the paint match guy. We are heading up Island on Sunday for some camping. Cheers! |

We are just outside Duncan and are heading up to Sproat Lake and for sure out to Tofino. My wife and I did this trip 12 years ago with a Jetta and a tent...this time with the van and two girls. We have seen lots of vans already and will be waving like fools fron N.S. all week! Later, Brian. |

Think about stopping in at Coombs - the Goats on the Roof market is always a pit stop we make. Its a very kitschy market with pretty good food stuff, ice cream etc, but they sometimes have some very surprising and cool stuff - I got a hammock there a couple years ago for $20 that is my favorite camping accessory!
Also make sure to stop at Cathedral grove just on the east side of Port Alberni- just be careful the parking is a nightmare on busy summer days.
I guess your camping at Green Point - fantastic place - the other beaches and hikes are worth checking out. |

If you're still around next week, we're headed up island a bit from you to Bowser (just north of Parksville and east of Coombs) a week from Monday... I'll be looking for ya!
Congrats on the trip! I made a 1000 km round-trip last week, and I was thrilled how Bastian did... More on that in my own thread... =)
Cheers! _________________ Greg

We hit Tofino, Sproat Lake, Coombs, Little Qualicum(wow!) Back in Shawnigan for the weekend and heading back east starting Monday. We have a great coast on the east but this Island is magic! Take care of it for us till next time! We love it here and will be back again!
Thanks for waving and if anyone is heading to N.S. let me know...Brian. |
