i was rummaging through some boxes i got with the '70 bus i bought a few weekends ago and came across a tachometer. i was just wondering how hard it would be to hook this thing up. i know its probably not worth the time, but its something i want to do regardless. any help would be appreciated

Is there a make and model number on the tach?
A typical electronic tach will only have three connections (+,-, and tach signal), but there can be more variations than you can count due to external senders required by some models. What do you have and we can go from there......

This ain't ugly bob, but I have the same delima, glad I found this page. Mine is a sun electric corp. suntune 8,000 rpm with red, black, green, and blue leads. I'm guessing it can be 4, 6, or 8 cyl. no model #. I think I can get it into the dash (?). Haven't tried yet. Hope I don't need a sender. HELP!!
