Are the seat clamps and wing nuts used in early barndoors likely to be the same as those used in a standard model split window bug? _________________

I don't know much about BDs, but I think the clamps are the same. Did BDs use wing-nuts? I always thought they used standard 14mm-headed nuts for the floor clamps and wing-bolts for the rear seat side mountings? |

Barndoor Kombis use wing nuts.
I would guess they are the same, at least the Split-Window standard models, but I do know with certainty. Later Standard models may not be 100% identical.
Barndoors use an early-style T-bolt with no squared-off section. They are more difficult to find if you want the correct look.
Barndoor T-bolt is on the top in this photo

Just out of interest, did the Deluxes use normal 14mm nuts? The '53/'54 VW Workshop manual shows a picture of the clamp with standard nuts, not wingnuts and describes it as for 'Kombi and Microbus'. |

Deluxes and standards had nuts as the seats weren't designed to be removed easily like in a kombi _________________
