Anyone have a timing light I could borrow? Or I could just use it real quick at your place. _________________ 87 Syncro |

Never too late. I guess we are all just slackers. Especially lately. Our goal is to try to keep this on page 1 and attempt some sort of loosely structured cruise or gathering every month..... and anyone is welcome to take over. Pretty much anything goes and those who can make it great, those who cannot can keep trying. I personally have been working too much and have no internet access at work. I get off Tuesday morning, then have 4 days off, then 4 on and I am off for another 13 days after that.
If the Ferry/covered bridge cruise, Woodland WA cruise, etc, do not come to fruition, lets do another season intro at Cathedral Park or The Bomber. Both, no entry fees, both BYOB friendly Any other loose suggestions? I motion the weekend of the 6-7 June. Conflicts? Ideas?
Saturday June 6th
Sunday June 7th
Let's get this going troops~ _________________ Happiness=Portland, Oregon in the rearview mirror! |

Hey Volks!
I had to go where the money was so I took a job in near Philly. I had a great time hanging out with all of you the one time I made it to the Lucky Lab. Best of luck with all your camping and wrenching and hopefully I can share a pint with all of you when I am in the area for vacation.
Cheers!

I did the opposite, I came to PDX from PHL! Both great cities!

Maybe (on Gary Emory's swap)! What time are you leaving? Is there much vw action there? I know on certain years there were quite a few aircooled guys who would go. I have a box of aircooled stuff to get rid of.
If anyone is interested our band SPEEDqueen underground is playing in Hood River Saturday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 out behind the Dirty Fingers Bicycle repair shop @ 1412 13th st. Hood River OR. It should be a fun outdoor punk rock style show with dumpsters in the background and everything.
I hope to pick up my DoKa tomorrow with the newly installed AA Transaxle tranny. So it should be doing band hauling duties again.

I have had Samba no Workus syndrome. Breaking down and upgrading my 9 year old cell to an I-phone and I promise not to let you all down.
Work allows Facebook but no Samba. Still confused and flabergasted!
PDX is changing and we have to keep this place as we love it. Now that the 4th is over(and I have 13 days off), what do you think for a Festivus....Simple, easy and fun for all?
Lew's or The Bomber on Mc Gloughlin.
Will check back late tomorrow.
Great weather and weekend, Huh?

Lets do this people.
Premium camping season I know......We need to reignite this thread and keep it on page 1.
Do we want to organize another Bomber gathering? Lew's Drive In is just up the street and also really cool! Cathedral Park? I am off for two weeks so..........
I also am likely taking off camping late this weekend/early next week for a couple days up in the Mountains. Any interest in a Lost Lake excursion again? Sunday- Tuesday? _________________ Happiness=Portland, Oregon in the rearview mirror! |

I think a second annual Lost Lake excursion should happen for sure. That was way too much fun to not do it again. I like the idea of waiting until after the crowds are gone though. It was late September or October last year wasn't it? _________________ 89 Syncro Westy - GW 2.5, now with a double knob job

I'm game for another get together. Ready for some more ideas and show off a few of my own. LL would be another great campout as well. You guys post it and I'll be there!
Perhaps a simple Lucky Lab night is in order. Let's hit up a different one than Hawthorne this time and spread it around. I think the NW pub was mentioned. _________________ '85 Westy |

I'm in! I can watch people sipping beers from my desk at work. Kind of like being stuck in Folsom prison watching the fat cats sipping whiskey as the trains speed by! _________________ 89 Syncro Westy - GW 2.5, now with a double knob job

Hey!, I 'm excited to say I goy a job in Hood River. I am moving the family across the country in 3 weeks. Just have to sell the house load up our stuff and drive (~2,700 miles)!
Looking forward to meeting some of you folks in PDX. I was so impressed with the number of Vanagons I saw while on vacation there in the spring, just awesome.
Hope to get out to a get-together in the near future. What an great place, so excited to have the opportunity to live in the Gorge.

That's awesome VH! Hood River rocks. I'd live there in a heartbeat if I could get a job there. Plan on a camp weekend up at Lost Lake on Hood sometime this fall. Less than an hour from HR. _________________ 89 Syncro Westy - GW 2.5, now with a double knob job

Well, finally a bit of traction. I thought you all had moved or something?
How about a meet up planning session Saturday Afternoon at Lew's Drive Inn....
http://lewsdrivein.com/
....for those who can, we will plan the next LL or pub meet, and get the ball rolling on the Lost Lake campout. We did the last weekend that LL was open last year, but, weekdays are still pretty vacant up there according to the Lodge. I was thinking of heading out this Sunday Night if anyone else had some free time...Sunday - Tuesday. I have my 3 year old and 9 month old so no major rock fest action this trip, but definitely some guitar around the campfire!
