Couldn't update my original post (too old).

When I bought it:

I thought it had been 4 years, but looking at my original post, it's only been a little over 3. I'm faster than I thought. Embarassed

Anyway, it's not completely finished but I wanted to post my [slow] progress.

Nice work, Scott. How did you fix that right front corner?

I got a rolling shell 73 and cut the entire front end off of it.

Technically I just helped, I had a body guy do the cutting and welding. Out of my league...

Thanks.

It's not a perfect paint job by any means, but it's better than what I had. Yours looks like it's maybe the exact same color ( I used Ford "Deep Jewel Green")

Looks very good, but I would ditch those black rims. Paint them silver, you'd be amazed how much better it will look.

That's a good point. I definitely need to do something about the wheels, will probably take your advice and paint them silver and go with that for now. Ideally I would like to have some Vanagon alloys on it, but my checking account is pretty much shot in the ass for a while from what I've already put into it.

I agree... or even the same color as the bumpers and pop top.
