Don't know if I am breaking Samba rules - but thought this would be of interest as the lowest orig mileage Westy I have come across recently...
For those at work with an ebay ban....1988, Westy Hi Top Syncro, in Germany - 39000 miles - one owner - probably genuine..... £15995 is I guess about $24000
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-T3-T25-Westfalia-Camper-V...286.c0.m14
(nothing to do with me - but I enjoy seeing low mileage - genuine original vehicles for sale - this guy seems to have the knack - and the German alnguage for finding them) - He advertises on uk ebay as he knows we will pay good money for a good one. |

bought my syncro hi top (adventurewagen) last year with just under 39000 from original owner, all paperwork- just turned 51,000 a month ago on our southwest trip. Persistence pays off, I "stalked" (as my wife says) the guy for 5 years ever since I first saw it sitting in front of his house.
there are still a few out there...

Thats what I've done before aquiring three of the T3's I now own
The syncro westy sat in front of an old (80+) couples house. Knocked on door and drank coffee (I don't drink coffee...) several times over two years before he rang and had decided to sell Being nice pays off..
And yes, even in northern Norway there are one-owner syncros, westies and syncrowesties. I have a few more coffee-visits planned _________________ 88 Westfalia Club Joker syncro AAZ i/c
