I just had a visit from Josef Strnad. He is a fellow Thing owner from British Columbia. He travelled across Canada to visit friends in Ontario and looked me up. He found out about my Thing through the 181 Registry newsletter back in 2005. He came over to have a look at my Thing. We had a really nice time talking about all things VW. Really nice gentleman.
Before leaving he gave me a copy of the 181 Newsletter, I had no idea that my car was in it, and featured on the cover.
