Is that the center seat? That looks totally weird.

It's the rear seat... It looks like someone took the upholstery off the original frame and remade the frame out of square tube and wire. The bus has some weird brackets in it, that seems like it would allow all of the seat frames to lay flat, even through the cut out bulk head.

Does anyone have any detailed pictures of a BD Kombi with the rear hard-board panels option? I think the ones in this bus are original, but they are not the same material as the door and kick panels.

The inner panel is the reinforcement for the sunroof, the same panel as used on a deluxe.

The hay was a previous owners attempt at insulating the bus as part of a really sweet camper conversion. This conversion also included wrecking the rear seat frames, cutting out the bulkhead, and attaching all kinds of wooden strips inside the bus, holding in moisture and causing it to rust even more than a standard bus. Can't wait to see this one when it's finished. Rosie and Heidi were both very good practise for this one!
Bring on the green panels! Laughing

I counted 4 as well, but that is only on the picture page... if you take the time to look through the registry, there does seem to be 6. I guess they are played out. Laughing
I imagine the cost of the sunroof option would have been huge in comparison to the base cost of the Kombi.

There are two of these in the remaining bulkhead section.. what could they have been for?

The hole in the bottom center is stock. I think it was a hole for washing out the area behind the front seat. There is a metal "slide" which plugs it normally.

I don't recognize the other holes or the bracket.
