So that begs the question, how bad was that 21 window? In the midwest we do a touchdown dance when we find something that looks like that....

The worst was the frame rails under the cargo floors, it scared most people off, plus the norm stuff, the frame was easy, as the rot did not go to the tube in the rear or the front beam mount, Funny thing Gerson had a good idea with out even seeing it, ( as far as were the frame rotted) And yes i could not sleep untill it was at my shop Very Happy

not sure if proper to congratulate or what when you refer to "a big fat baby"?
either way, there must be a video of the 20hr labor
pics or it didnt happen...

Ok these are the last of the pics i will be posting of the dbl cab.
First I would like to thank Gerson for giving me this opportunity doing this build. I had a great time and learned alot. The amount of time and hard work you put in with getting the metal made correctly. for this oddball early dbl cab. once again Klassicfab has gone beyond the limits and made it possible for this truck to come alive again.
Id like to Thank Gene for all his hard work helping me throughout this build from the begining to the end. you went the extra mile many times and I greatly appreciate everything you did. I could not have done this build without ya.(next time ill pad the bed edge rails Embarassed )
Thank you Ryan for your understanding and patients while I finished up the dbl cab
Thank you all who supplied other parts for this build.
Ok I left off 2 weeks ago with finishing up the nose and front lower window channel.
Few pages back I was informed that All belly pan buses need to have a tube that the main wire harness runs tyhrough so thats just what we did.

Dave, I'm going to make a new M plate, since no one came forth with the OG one, and yeah, I will code it for the mods that have been performed on this thing, including the FG paint code Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy ....I have the correct OG type VIN plate that I'm going to rivet on this thing in a couple of weeks..... Very Happy Very Happy...this build reminds me of the European guys, HARD CORE!!!!!!!!.........remember guys, there is no such thing as "it can't be saved", this truck is proof of that......................this was probably one of the best examples of that famous phrase we say from time to time to describe a beyond rusty bus, "man that bus is fucked"........there is no excuse, all it takes is time, will and money, and someone with Tim's skill......... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
