Last Weekend at Calico I decided to follow John Wessell out on one of the trails I got most of the way up and waited for John to clear the top but he stopped since on his side the bottom was very steep and he did not think my stock suspension would allow my progress. so I /we turned around while John continued on,

Not a great pic first shows only the front end of my Syncro /Westy-et the next John Wessells SyncroMog at the top and the third how far Half way was.

Not really wilderness but it was fun, just north of Taos Junction on the old railroad grade to Santa Fe. Stopped and walked about a mile of grade with my Mom and Dad. Parked the van so that it was staged ready to go over the high fill.

I recently drove highway 50 (lincolns lonliest highway) starting in Sacramento to highway 70-50 to St Louis and down to Du Quoin in Southern Illinois in my 1982 a/c westy. Of course the battery in my camera went dead going by the St Louis arch. Enjoy!

Shot a few pic's in the middle of nowhere today when I was returning form a party (man, i haven't been that drunk for years!). There was a light snowfall yesterday when i was driving up the same road, pitch black and I could barely see the turns in the road so it was a bit scary. Returning down today was way better, i catched up with some of the other guys that left earlyer and smoked past them, this thing actually works pretty good on snow Very Happy
