Not sure if it is an option for you, but this is my 10 minute home made drum puller made from a nasty beetle rim.
It's ugly, but it's works great.
There are a couple more photos in my gallery. |

I'd say chain an X over the center with lug bolts to drum and a bottle jack in the center like the v frame photo. _________________ Werksberg Products....Products that work!

I'm starting to get little wafts of bus stink coming from the north. Something about the unique scent of drivers seat padding when it's glued together with mouse piss and shit that really gets me going... and I'm smelling it! Oh yeah! Time to start loading up the equipment. |

If you have a standard three arm puller ,just take the arms off and cut 3 lenghts of chain to fit from the puller to the lug nuts and open the outer links to fit the lugs.Just use the puller as you normaly do and with a little wd-40 it should come right off. _________________ 1957 23 window samba,1963 23 window deluxe(work in progress),1967 westy,1967 21 window deluxe,1963 vw bug ragtop,1962 vw bug. |

Use some gate hinges and a cheap puller from Autozone:
I made this about 10 years ago and use it a couple times a year - but those times are when I REALLY need to get a drum off and it works great.... |

This one is from a closed VW dealer in Concord N.H.
Saved me a bunch of frustration over the years... _________________ Tom

That kukko puller is the real deal.
I don't use the bangy thing, just a 27mm socket on a ratchet.
This wheel rolled just fine, but was stuck on the splines.
Here the flex handle is used to keep the wheel from spinning.
Greg had a wanted ad up for one of these for a while, then found it on German Ebay. _________________ The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project http://oacdp.org/ |
