Found my original warranty book for my 87 Westy
Option codes were as follows:
D01, G11, P27, R74, W01, 352, 425 & 573

would like to translate the codes?
Thanks

I also have an '87 full camper and I believe the code for the full Westy is the P27 you have listed. I also have the original window sticker for mine and was hoping it would list the options by code but, unfortunately, it does not. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Mine has power mirrors, cruise, power windows, A/c, P/s, P/B I wondered if it had alloys originally, I added them later.
I was just curious as to original equipment..

larrytrk,
Comparing what you said your van has to mine, mine has power mirrors, A/C, P/S, P/B. No alloys. Where did you find these codes in your warranty book? Perhaps I can compare with my book and answer your question by a process of elimination.

Well, of all the complete paperwork and documentation pile that came with the van, including pre-purchase agreement showing the PO was trading an '85 Weekender in on this '87 Westy, the red book is there but contains no sticker with that info. Just the blank page 1 with a couple of warranty stamps from the dealer. The label part is not filled out. Damn! Sorry, dude, I was hoping to find out something here, too.

I was going off a list of M codes that I recieved with my Jagdwagen. It's in Dutch, so I had to use Babelfish to translate it.

You also have a KD werks sticker attached to your build sticker. I'm wondering why? Is it a military, or special commercial version?

I am assuming that is is for his 89 Nato Doka Syncro by the omitted gates in the M-codes

I've seen a few of those in Germany, even drove one. From what I've seen, those were built for the US army. The one I drove had a tag mounted on the dash.

mine has the same plate on the dash.

just got it back from mechanic after the vehicle inspection required in BC.
had to get all new brakes and brake lines, new rad and side marker lights.

i found the sticker while the insurance agent and i were looking for two places on the vehicle with matching vins.

i assume the extra decal on the bottom of the build sticker is for the canopy.
i googled "sonderausstattung" and it means "special equipment or extra equipment"

it also has a 1.9l carburated motor that miserabley failed the provincial smog test Sad Sad Sad driving test was fine, but at idle it was brutal....

i told my wife the only way to get ot to pass would be to install a TDI Cool

I've got a core 2.1 Syncro engine out of my Doka with all the harness and bits you would need to convert it to US spec.

The block is no good, but all the bits you need are perfect. I'm going TDI on mine.

I'm considering TDI also. Can't really afford it right now though. The issue I see now Is for a different thread( my rpm are at 4000 at 120kmh in 4th) so I'm guessing my tdi wouldn't go very fast.
