This is my driveway. But with views like this I think it can be considered wilderness as well.

1st trip to the Arctic Circle, above photo
This is the '83 Vanagon, 2.0 Air-cooled engine with Andy in July of 1993. This is on the Dempster
Highway in Yukon, Canada. The Dempster runs north from the Klondike Highway about 460 miles to Inuvik ....... Ice Road Truckers!
2nd trip to the Arctic Circle, 1997, above photo
3rd and last trip to the Arctic Circle, 2001, above photo
The 7th and last trip to Alaska in the ole '83 Vanagon was in 2003!
Hopefully, I will be returning this coming summer ('10) in a TDI powered '84 non-Westy!

These pictures are from a couple years ago in my 83.5 Westy, but I thought I should post them to try to ward off the indoor winter blues.

This picture shows two syncro 16" 2.1's. it was taken up on Dartmoor, England, on the Old Manaton Road.
This is Hound Tor, made famous by Sherlock Holmes Hound of the Baskervilles.
This is a troop of 7 (out of 13) syncros on a foray in South Devon, England.
