I have a +6 King Pin Beam with 12" towers, leafs, stock arms with the shock relocation/extension kit. How much travel do you think I can get. I ordered shocks from Kartek and wanna make sure I ordered correctly before they ship |

You have stock arms... that is where you will get the longer travel. The shock towers wont do anything in the department for you. _________________ “It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.”

Stock arms are good for what 7.5-8" max? If you want to utilize those 12" towers you will need +4 arms or at least +2.5 arms. _________________ All the good deals in the world will still make you poor.
I'll finish it!... Some day....
Edit, I started in 2003 and still haven't built a driving Baja. lol |

It is dependent on what arms you get. How about starting here is there a number you are trying to get to or how about what are you doing with the back of the car and we can work from there. _________________ “It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.”

This particular car has a swing axle in it now. Once the front Ends done I'm going to convert it to IRS, Bus 002 trans and CV's, 3X3 rear arms. As far as front arms go, I'm going to look into some 4X1's. Gotta do some research this weekend.

1x4? I've never heard of that size. I think the +4 arms are about 2.5" or so wider than stock per side. And if you are doing the 3X3 arms in the back and you want the front and rear to be even then you should also have a +6 beam with the +4 arms to be about even track width front to rear. _________________ All the good deals in the world will still make you poor.

Latest Rage and Tweed Both have front arms that are 4" longer and only 1" wider and probly several other companies if I look around. I guess your right about the rear width. I guess what I was looking for was people who already have similar setups to what I'm looking to go with. Wheel offset is also going to come into play in final width when I'm done as well.. |
