Hey everyone. I've returned to VW's after a 10 year hiatus...did the Honda thing. Anyways, I found a 1966 hardtop through the classifieds here on TheSamba and now feel "whole" again Trends haven't changed too much and the same friendly VW owner attitudes can be found all over here in So Cal.
Here is Lenore from Lemoore. I know it's not a GT500 as seen in "Gone in 60 Seconds", but it rhymes and works for me. Picked her up and 600+ miles later she was safely back in San Diego. Minor tune up from Stephen at Imported Car Service in Lemon Grove and she was purring away. Just dropped the motor to replace the mounts and hope to be on the road in another day. I find it strange that I have no reservations in dropping the engine, but when it comes to spark, I'm lost. Oh well hope to keep the pics coming and post regularly but of course, just had first baby arrive 1-28-10. Happy baby and wife is good, we'll see how much they let me get done
even had nice steering wheel and Scat Drag shifter
Here are the faulty mounts causing my SHUDDERS
Just like ols times...

Nice car welcome aboard. Like the Rossi headlights. let me know if you want to add a home made parcial tray. Oh in your avatar area add city and state. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.
