I am doing my rockers and would like a few measurements between the two pillars. One at the top, on the metal below the black pillar trim and one at the bottom, where the seam from the door pillar meets the rocker.
Thanks. |

From where to where? Maybe some pictures of the area you need measured. _________________ --- The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair.

Sorry I have not made the copy for you but that measurement 53 27/32 in. or 1368mm. It says " Measured between inside surfaces". Now here is the real way is put a straight edge across all three post, the cowl, center post and the rear post or 1/4 panel and they should all be in line. Also as you are fitting up the rockers have the doors on to check the fit. As you are welding the heat will pull the center post and you will be able to check this with the doors in place. I have a bar made that bolts to the 4 holes inside the post at the top that holds the correct space between the post and I have a hook in the center of the bar to lift the bodys off with my engine hoist. |

No problem Ron. Thanks for the info, exactly what I wanted. I like the bar technique bolted to the holes.
Ian, was there video of that somewhere? Rings a bell.
Thanks |

No video, just a write-up. _________________ VW-181 shirts and stickers.
