Well...I might as well post this up for MPAS and could post as a pre-show cruise for Taylor Nelson's SV2s Busses in the Shop following the next day.
MPAS (Monterey Peninsula Aircooled Society - http://www.mpasvw.com ) will be having a cruise from Monterey and up Hwy. 1 to Half Moon Bay for the Journey to the Garden of Eden.
Date: Saturday August 21, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
This event will be the first cruise that our little daughter, Eden will attend. It will be a potluck affair. The journey will start at Del Monte Center (Monterey) and travel Hwy 1 all the way to Poplar State Beach in Half Moon Bay.
Contact: Matt Morillo at [email protected]
Final details: Meet at Del Monte Center at 9:30 a.m. in front of Starbucks. Depart by 9:45am. Travel up to Santa Cruz and meet up with anyone there at the Safeway on 2111 Mission Street. Pick up final food items or use the bathroom. Should be there by 10:45am.
Hwy 1 to Half Moon Bay- $6.00 fee per car at Francis Beach - 95 Kelly Ave off Hwy 1.
They have BBQ pits and we can have a bonfire. Bring any frisbees, kites etc. This is a Potluck event! We should arrive by 12:30 or so.

I was hoping to make it out to this cruise and get a chance to meet up with you guys for the first time. but unfortunately my bug is still not ready to hit the road, I will try and make the 3rd Annual Vintage Volkswagen Tour of Monterey but with the way things have been going I do not know if that is a possibility yet either. _________________ 58 bug under construction- |
