To our friends up north, what is needed to import an American Spec's car to Canada? Change speedo to km/h, and what else? or is that it? I'm moving to Gatineau Quebec in May, so any help would greatly be appreciated. The car i'm looking to import would be a 1985 cabriolet. All the safety equipment works lights, horn ect... What is the process like? Where do I need to bring it to get the ball rolling?

Most of the vehicles I've driven in my life have had MPH speedo's. If you you can't memorize a few conversions, you fail at life. Lighting would be the same on an '85, and the only lights that are different for Canada these days are the DRL's, which you don't need to worry about. Go to Canadian Tire, get a government inspections, go to a mechanic and get a provincial inspections (in some provinces) and then go get registration and insurance.
