Found this rare Bus on german Ebay. It is one of 24 buses that have been built in Hamburg. Only three are known to have survived: the one on the legendary suisse Messerli junkyard, one converted to a camper somewhere in the south of germany and this one with these truckpipes.

Translation of description:
I am in contract for sale For a friend of a VW Bus T1 Special Conversion for a Swiss hotel chain in the year 1961. From that vehicle which at the company Auweiler Hamburg have been converted (the coach inspired Satra), there were only 24 pieces. Until now, except this is known here only one other vehicle (report in the "Oldtimer Markt" issue 11/2009). The seat is original equipment such as on the pictures to see and is in really good condition. The bus is completely converted to 12V and has in addition to the subtle dual channel Smile Sidepipe a 1600cc engine. The car drives and brakes. German letter and key exists.
Barndoor a few buses down:

I'm all for rarity.... but this cross between a split window and a greyhound makes a shag-jersey hot pink looker california look split window bus from the 80s attractive.

i suspect this listing may have been a scam since there's no trace of it now.

the same bus wasn't sold last year(reserve not reached) despite bids up to €25k.

I wonder who has the red bus from the junk yard now?
