Dunno if I'll get the engine installed to make the trip to Phoenix as time winds down. Was doing a top-end rebuild and now putting on tins.
Still need to replace the worn clutch pedal hook and clutch cable, install new German tarboard from KGPR , etc...so many things to do and so little time now.
If I don't get the Ghia done, I'm gonna have to drive my watercooled (Jetta) down to Phoenix. |
Hey Jim... see ya there.. Im flying down..... and driving back.. but not for a week or so.. gonna bum around Phoenix for a few days. |
David...well, looks like I'm gonna have to drive the Jetta down (ugh), driving a watercooled is not as fun as driving an aircooled.
So I'm planning to be there in Phoenix on Saturday morning, gonna miss out on the Sonic meet Friday night. _________________ Jim Kikuchi

Frenchy's deal is on Saturday around 3:00pm, I too need the address for Frenchy. Last time I was there at Frenchy's was back in 2001 (I think). _________________ Jim Kikuchi

Does anyone know if re entry is allowed at Bugorama, I want to get there early to rummage the swap meet but my wife wants to go also but can't make it till later in the day. I want to leave and bring her back but I don't want to have to pay another 20 bucks.
Thanks

Well we made it down to Phoenix. Stopped by the Heart Attack Grill for lunch (Rachel was our nurse) and then went to CE to see the sights. Had a red Super on the dyno that pulled 175 horse. Taking it easy tonight. see everyone tomorrow morning. Mike _________________ My last fortune cookie said:

Yes, you should be able to re-enter, they'll stamp your hand for re-entry. As far as I know, they do that at the Sacramento Bug-O-Rama's. _________________ Jim Kikuchi

well got to the show got some junk at the swap meet and was able to leave and pick up my wife.
I also saw the paint I want but could not find the owner. went back a few times but no luck.
does anyone know the owner of this car? I would really like to know what paint it is. It's a sating black with metallic or pearl and has a slight texture. The texture could have been the paint technique, I'm not sure.
