Wow lots of accidents on the track today. There were some great cars there today. I'm really glad I made it down. Its been three years since I made the show. I got pass side mirror for my bay window camper, so one part found 20 more to go. LOL _________________ My last fortune cookie said:

Anyone have any real info on what happenend today on the strip? Info or links to sites that know? I heard about one roll over and then heard there were a couple more wrecks. Then shutting down the quarter mile and running 1/8 mile instead. Then a lot of racers packed up and left. Since the wind calmed down it must not have been for that reason. A friend said the surface had problems with paving transitions and bumps. Seems somewhat strange since the real big machines have been running on that strip. Real recently and sadly a spectator had been killed in the bleachers when a car came apart but that accident must not be related. Firebird has been one of the big time strips for a long time and sure hope the problems today wern't related to the facility.
I was busy in the show and browsing the swap so never got to enjoy any of the racing.
Good show this year, enjoyed visiting with local friends and the swap seemed fairly decent and got a couple small items that were on my shopping list plus a couple more good deals.
That's a bummer about the theft. Hope the person steps up or gets totally run out of the hobby. We sure don't need garbage like that.
For most of us it was a real great enjoyable day. Good weather, cars and people. _________________ 71 Superbug

I had a great time. I saw 15 windowdelux but he threw me off a little because he wasn't wearing green and red. Didn't see any other people that I knew but we are 1000 miles from home.
I bought one of the homemade cup holders, t-shirt and a bus cargo door repair panel. I should be able to make it through airport security.
sub-hatchtim, sorry about your loss. |

I'll ask my sister if she needs to check the settings. That stinks! _________________ "Age doesn't really matter unless you are a cheese". |
