There is a plastic piece inside the pump that often fails. Here's how to fix it (post from VWvortex):

I have this exact problem too. Unfortunately the images from this solution have been removed. Does anyone have a 'how to' guide for repairing this problem? An even more simplified solution would be greatly appreciated i.e how to locate and remove the pump, where to but the replacement parts, etc. I live in Glasgow, Scotland.

Thanks in advance Smile
