a question before test drive

Just finished installing new tranny and looks like one piece is missing from the rebuilder. The piece that screws into the blue cover which reverse wire plugs into is missing. Can I still drive the van around during the weekend without that in place? Will oil splash out thru the hole?

I think you'll lose some oil without the switch to seal the hole.

Oh well, l already drove around. New tranny feels very good and quiet. Stick feels much stiffer and firm. Normal? I am trying to figure out how to test my peloquin in the middle of sillicon valley... Question
