Slow down Josh!!! Getting Jim to cut the front of the floor and top hat was hard enough!!! He may let you drill all the spot welds out when we do cross the bridge of removing the floor.... |

I hope I can save what's left of the floor, we'll see...
I need B-pillars! They look far worse than the floor that's still wearing factory primer.

I am not so sure I like the new name of this thread, but I am happy to see Jim motivated to fix this cool bus.
It is also nice to see all the Chicago area bus guys willing to jump in and lend a hand. |

The donor bulkhead is nearly ready, here the original body number section is getting fitted.
The welds are starting to disappear
The inspector is hard to please...

Succumbing to peer pressure, the cargo floor has been taken out in one more big piece.
Buzz making the decision on the tophats and rear crossmember.

All top-hats, outriggers and rear crossmember are now out,
Fitted the black front crossmember,
And I tried to straighten the heater tube that was a bit crushed.
I'm going to take the I beams out next, although I am not looking forward to dealing with the shift rod/tube after reading others' posts... |
