Hi guys....

I'm curious about this plug/hole in the body just inside the sliding door, behind the front PS seat/battery box.

Does anyone know what it is for and where it leads to?

Is anyone using it for some really creative modification?

If, so I'd love to see what you've done!

Our 89 Westy doesn't have that. Perhaps that is just on 1986 and earlier?

Do you feel anything when you stick your finger in?

You don't say what year, but from the tan seats in your gallery, I'm guessing 1985?
My 85 westy doesn't have that, but I see you have ac (I don't), so I wonder if it's got something to do with that.

I had an 84 Westy with A/C and didn't have that.

In my Riviera there are two smaller holes on the wall behind the passenger seat battery compartment discovered when I ripped out the carpet.

It provides easy access for removing the cadavers of mice. For me it is access to the switch on the slider and the remote lock contacts.

Mice Cadavers... Sick I pray that I never have that problem.

My van is an '86. I got a little more curious and tried to fish a wire hanger down the hole, but it got caught up on something. Howevever, I'm not convinced that the hole/plug doesn't lead somewhere or have some purpose.

Funny, Corn. It's been a while since I've seen that SNL skit.

Stick something in that hole of similar diameter and report back to us what happened or didn't happen.
