Well if you like variety and perhaps a pancake once in a while this might be for you:

We eat WAY too much grains as it is... the old "four food groups" has been thoroughly debunked as being healthy for humans. Eating processed wheat and grains inevitably leads to diabetes, heart disease, cancer etc. Do a web search for the "Club of Rome" or "Codex Alimentarius" to see how poor nutrition has been stealthily promoted with the end game of making us all sick so that the "medical" industry can capitalize on us and ultimately reduce the world's population - meaning YOU. Watch movies like "Food, Inc.", "Ingreedients", etc., then follow those up with Alex Jones' movie "End Game - Blueprint for Global Enslavement".
And now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

I'm not a fanatic but I buy very little processed or prepared food. I'm trying to get rid of wheat and am trying rice but I do have to be honest in saying that I love warm fresh made bread. _________________ '09 2.5L Jetta 5 cylinder, 5 spd, super turbo, see thread in H2O Cooled Jetta, etc...

... how did this go from making a nice piece of toast to global enslavement?

I prefer the inorganic stuff: Bisquick. I just added a griddle to the "RV", so the next adventure will have the Shake 'N Pour version of Bisquick tagging along.
I love toast with scrambled eggs; might have add that toaster gizmo too!
Edit: Okay, I totally forgot. Old Blue came with that exact toaster! When I cleaned out the van back in February, I took that thing out of the sink cabinet and tossed it into a box, not knowing what the heck it was. It's disgustingly dirty; now that I know what it is, I'll clean it up and put it back in the van! _________________ ~Kamz

Well, since every one is done making toast, and moving on to pancakes, I like to load some 3 finger ziplocks of bisquick.. add water to the baggie at camp..
here are fajitas with cajun chicken sausage, bell peppers and onions
bisquick pancakes, can be topped with fruit cup of your choice..

I sent an email off to that neat toaster introduced. Got an email back today. Their closest distributor to Toronto is Timmins, Ontario. I laughed and laughed. Like they don't get much bigger than Timmins, a mining town upnorth.
Placed my order today!! from Timmins Ontario that is _________________ '09 2.5L Jetta 5 cylinder, 5 spd, super turbo, see thread in H2O Cooled Jetta, etc...

For DAIZEE or whomever is interested.. I showed a photo of the flame spreader that I use for toasting. I had the flame up a bit high, but no worries.
I just came home from a walk, and wanted a quick snack before the L.A./PHX game. So here are some photos of how the unit toasts a bagel, melts cheese and a quick (5 minute sandwich) I made. You can put the tomato and English cucumber on the sandwich if you like, but I use a bit of horseradish, so I like to eat them to take the edge off the HR. I also put some Genoa Salami, onion, avocado and sprouts....HMMM, it was good!

My first ever post after lurking for 6 months. Funny that making toast is the only thing I can contribute
This little gaget left me stunned, it worked so well. One piece, one side at a time, but really fast and even.
GSI Radient toaster.

I was inspired, or hungry, so I copied you peacefulwarrior..
I never would have known had I not read your post, what that perforated gadget was for, but the other day while browsing a thrift store for some bowls, I found one, for $1.69..
I wonder if they were common in a certain bygone era? |

Admin note: Please don't post non-VW pictures in the Gallery, it messes up the threads when we delete them. There are other free hosting sites available for awesome pictures of cheese or whatnot. Thanks. |

Thank you and I will post them up somewhere else. I was having a problem with my Photobucket upload today, so I posted them here hoping no one would mind. _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

They were a fad many years ago, it was said that they redistributed heat more evenly over the bottom of the pot so that you didn't need to use such high settings. I love things being recycled and finding neat new applications. I must look and see if I still have mine. _________________ '09 2.5L Jetta 5 cylinder, 5 spd, super turbo, see thread in H2O Cooled Jetta, etc...
