I have been hunting a cot for my bus for a couple months now....Zero luck. Is there a seller of reproduction child cots? I have toyed with the idea of Macguyvering one out of bay parts, but I really don't have time or desire to make one. I just want to buy a new one, screw in some brackets and go camping. Thanks.

| Try SO23westfalia.com, they repro poles and fabric for the SO-42. Hope this helps you. |

| Hey Joe, thanks. I have been to that site and could not figure out how to buy it, I even emailed em' and never got a reply. Their cot looks nice, and I would buy it in a heart beat. |

I bought an excellent canvas repro including the boot from this guy Marty.
[email protected]
He does not advertise and is very busy making repro westy bits, and travels alot.
Contact him and see if he has any made already.
the canvas might be a shade darker then OG but put against another OG one here they are an excellent copy, I think it was in the range of $90 or so.
I had the brackets, and just shortened early bay poles.

Marty does nice work, he made my pop top and cot canvas, nice job indeed. I wasn't sure if he was still making them, glad to know he still is. Can't go wrong with his work.  |

Put me down for a set...To be honest, I don't care if it looks og or not, I know some people will, just not me. So if you have a test run that doesn't look perfect, but functions perfect, let me know and I will take a set off your hands. |

Since I recently found an OG cot/poles I will be more interested in the ladder, once you have them up and running of course. Will they hinge up?
I an almost sure that the cots that you will be making will be more of a reasonable price than the OG ones are bringing in.  I got lucky with mine.

ladders are on the list. yes they will hinge just like the HWE ladders did.... they should look super close (correct radius bend and all)
The childs cots should not be that expensive. I am thinking about $75 for a complete kit.

What does complete kit mean? More than just canvas? I am curious about just the canvas.

I will have pricing for parts of the cots just like my racks. Individual pieces or the whole thing.

Well I decided to hunt for the elusive heavy duty military duck canvas, and finally found it, here it is. The person I had sew these cots up is a professional who has never seen canvas this heavy duty. I had a cot sewn up and had extra material in case of boo boos and well now I have 5 extra cots ! I modeled this repro after an original. The original had some sag due to use and old age, so this was compensated and now they fit nice and taught. Pics include an original, the repro, mapping out the material and fitting one in my 66 SO-42. The edges are all folded over neatly before sewing.
