My bride bought some new blades for the camper and did not want them getting scuffed and dulled in the cutlery drawer so she whipped up this little holder. It's thin enough to clear the shelf with the door closed and works fine. A little grey paint and it'll be done.

Yeah, I thought of that after reading about the woman who fought off the Westy carjacker with a knife. If we happen to be near the sink the knives "fall readily to hand," as they used to say about the shifter in car road tests.
