| I bought a new boden tube cause my old one was old, the old transmission cable had cut a groove in the metal end. The P.O. had only one stud in the bracket so I put in another stud so the bracket is now solid. The new tube came with a rubber sleeve around the boden tube maybe 3" in length. How can I use this to my advantage? Or is there a purpose for it. Right now i have it set to maintain the sag in the cable. Figuring it had something to do with that aspect of the tube. |

If you are referring to the "bowden tube" for the clutch cable, there is a piece that holds the tube off the trans. There is supposed to be a rubber boot where the cable exits and another where the bowden tube leaves the metal tube.
