Ghias got them too, but I don't know when they switched to the spin-on.

i'm sure RickC has more pics/info of this set up. |
Whats with the 1500 sp and the 36hp fan shroud? |
it's a stale air 40hp shroud. the engine is a later engine, tinned up to look like a '61 stale 40. surely you have seen this bus in person by now and have talked to rick about it, no? |
Bus? Isn't that a single cab? Where is the gas tank? |
Yep, looks like a single cab to me. A high-roof Aussie dusty conditions single cab. Note the duct forward of the fan shroud. This was fed from the extra set of vents above the cab then routed through the treasure chest. _________________ Shawn

Hey Ev, it looks like you have overlapped the dates on the wing nut style and skrew on style on the 36hp

Our low mile Jan 26th 56 Single cab has a spin on not a wing nut, and our December 56 single cab came with a wing nut. I think it's much earlier than Sept. _________________ "Love and good roads" |

I'm working on a type1 manual for the oacdp and noticed it had a lot of info about air cleaner part numbers including some split bus models. I thought I'd mention it here for those looking for specific air cleaner parts. The shear number of Connecting Parts is pretty amazing:

This came with my bus and is original. It isn't a cyclone but it is for dusty areas. I am keeping it for the 1600 dp.

Look for a later style one like maybe a '62-63 is model like the one above. I remember there being a difference in the height of the snouts on the earlier air cleaner tubes . |
Should there be a hose from the air cleaner to the oil filler neck? |
