The Track at Bremerton has agreed to allow Bug Nationals to run on Sunday... This means.....
Friday July 16 Burger Meat
Saturday July 17th: Shoreline
Sunday July 18th: Bremerton Raceways
Camping will be allowed at the track. $10 for camping the gate locks at 9:00 sharp. Plenty of time to get from Shoreline to Bremerton...
Lets make this the best Vintage weekend ever! |

My FIRST POST, YEA!!!
I know how to get to the V-DUB Nationals from here in Port Townsend (our 3rd straight year going there), but need to know how to get to the Shoreline show/swap meet from PT, anyone know where I should go after crossing the Narrows Bridge into Tacoma?
I am looking forward to going there, maybe I'll score some extra stuff for my 1963 Kombi pictured down below:
Hope to see all of you down there!!! |

First; welcome to thesamba.
As for getting to Shoreline... It depends on the route you want to take. If you take ferries you can get there quicker. Get to Kingston and take the Kingston/Edmonds ferry
Get to 104/Edmonds way (South).
South on old hw 99/Aurora.
You will see signs on Aurora for the show. They are typically black and white and slightly small. Turning right on 160th should get you there just fine.
I hope you make it out! |

Great news getting the show scheduled on Sunday !!!! The troops from the Camp out in Issaquah will be doing a scenic cruise to the Raceway. This year is going to be one of the best Vintage weekend Seattle has had in a long time. |

Thanks for the full details on the Shoreline meet (my first time there) as well as how to get there from here in Port Townsend, so after I cross the Hood Canal Bridge I just simply make a left at the signal on the other end and make a left on 104 towards the Kingston Ferry, and the rest I will make notes on. We'll (the Love Of My Life, Alice Yantz and I) get up at 6:00 am to have enough time just in case of ferry delays, and we'll be cranking up (mostly) 1960s-70s material (including The Doors, Iron Butterfly, The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Jimi Hendrix among others, in true split bus/circa-peace movement-era), and other material (a mixed bag, as well on either my 6 MiniDisc changer or on my NW-HD5 Network Walkman (maybe) on my Sony MiniDisc car unit we also have installed in my Kombi.
We hope to (possibly) meet and greet a whole new community, and this is an opportunity for us to reach out and embrace the air-cooled community, and I'll bet that Alice and I are probably two of the few who will be coming from the Olympic Peninsula to enjoy the show. I wish there would be more, who knows?
As for the NW V-DUB Nationals in Bremerton, it will be the third consecutive year that we will be there to check the action out.
We hope to score some gear for our Bus, including (possibly), a 61-65 (3-way) turn signal switch (we currently have a 4-way [1966-67] switch, in which would be a good trade if someone wants to do that) and also what is becoming more and more rare as I speak, original-style split bus bumpers (front and rear), and some other stuff as well.
C-YA at both shows fellow DUB-heads!!!
Peace Out,
Ray Jackson and Alice Yantz _________________ ...and remember to "Honk If You Like Cindy Margolis."
