I have an opportunity to purchase a complete motor with low miles and very clean but the p.o. said that he thinks it has a spun bearing. It isn't froze up.How can you determine if that is what is really wrong with it and if it is how much am I looking at to fix it?Never replaced one so I kinda want a heads up if I decide to buy it.Thanks for any feed back!

No way to tell on a spun bearing unless you tear it down.
If it is a low milelage engine, it could be a case of wrong oil pump, bearing installed wrong, wrong oil cooler seals, etc.

Spun bearing usually or always means a line bore and machine work to the crank....sometimes crank or block replacement depending on damage.
