Thank You Guys !!!
Definitely helps keep ya' motivated knowing you have people routin' for ya'
Ok....I am about at this point in real time so to speak, so here are a few more pics... Enjoy !!!
Just getting everything trial fitted into place and double checkin before the next phase...... But just look at that view now !!!
Okay, I was good with it, so I went ahead and installed the supports and started to weld a little of this clip together rotating my welds from side to side and back and forth to minimize heat and control shrinkage starting with the front to get it back to one piece and the windshield pillar area... I basically work backwards from where I took it apart at.....
In the last 2 shots U can see how once the inner supports are welded back to the clip where all the strength comes from from losing the factory roof..... I am very pleased so far doing the clip this way....
And one more for the night.... Enjoy !!!
Thanks again everyone !!! |

I first emery clothed the parts and then used brake parts cleaner, then I used gloss black engine paint from Dupli-Color engine enamel and then I cleared them so that the paint wont chip of flake off cheers Greg _________________ Ai Dos Mio...D.B.K!!! (o\ ! /o) |

Yes please, im a visual kinda guy, i hate getting wrong shit. i had some matte black paint that said it would withstand 1000 degree temps, but it doesnt matter if it can handle that if oil takes it right off |
