24+ (f)volks, in Mexico, enjoying life, one van in the background... a square box Vanagon.

The van is the way to travel but it's not the reason.

sometime, some days, i like to understand why i'm devoting my life to that square box, tonight is one.

Life can be short, just fill the van, close the house, drive baby, DRIVE!

Cheers, Ben

oh I wish! Interesting roof. It doesn't look traditional Westy?
I'd set up and not move for a very long time!

What I thought was a hatch, now I see as a solar panel. I meant the sectional markings (or what seem to be) as in not a smooth top surface. It's not important. What is important is that somebody doesn't have anything on below the waist. Laughing jk and envious Smile

It's a Westy top. It just has a solar panel mounted to it.

ok Didn't know that Westy tops had different surfaces. My Westy was smooth except for the hatch which I can see a part of to the front of the roof.

Even better than the picture:
"The van is the way to travel but it's not the reason."

Very Taoist...like the empty vessel, etc. Funny how we focus on the vessel when its really about the space it creates, where it takes us, etc. Like the empty vessel, the vanagon's value is not what it is, but what it allows.

yeah...that AND they look cool. Wait, am I talking about the vessel again?

Kind a felt nostalgic a bit lately, to busy at work and I had to move (house) (the van helped a lot), no time to travel, at all. the van is sitting in it's new spot on a river but not seeing the road enough, still, i could camp beside my house and feel like i'm in the wild??

My site as over 30,000 images, yep, about 1/4 are travel images, it's those that i like to look at the most Smile

This one remind me of why I own one.

Here is another nice one, when I had my 79.

And why not this one that tell a lot about the way I like to travel, that was my 73.

Sorry if I'm boring you guys Smile

Cheers, Ben
