I stayed at a hotel in Idstein 3 years ago, forget the name but I could probably find it. By time I tried to book a room, everything in BC was gone. It was an easy drive, less than 1o mins.

Will try to book earlier this time if I go....

You mean the Hotel Felsenkeller. This is located very centrally in the beautiful old-town of Idstein, 15 km / 12 min south of Bad Camberg.
http://www.hotel-felsenkeller-idstein.de

I have no actual recommendations, but here are a few maybe helpful links:

The hotel and guesthouse overview for bad camberg:
http://www.bad-camberg.de/Unterkuenfte/Unternehmen(100,101).html

the overview for Idstein: http://www.idstein.de/tourismus/gastgeberverzeichnis/

and the overview for Limburg, a small city in the north of Bad Camberg (20 km / 20 min) http://www.limburg.de/Zu_Gast_in_Limburg/Übernachten/

Hope this helps...

I have stayed in several comparably priced hotels in Idstein and the Felsenkeller is my top choice.

I met Markus Lottermann last weekend. He told me that registration for BC 2011 will open in January 2011. The plan is for every registration applicant to supply photographs of their vehicle with their application. Based on the photos, the organisers will then decide if they grant the vehicle a show pass or not. With limited space at the football field and with the number (and variety of styles) of VW attending increasing every time, the idea is to put the focus back on un-modified vehicles.

I am from Quebec City Canada and with my Girlfriend + 2 friends we are already planning that trip and looking into hotels.

We will take the plane from Quebec to Marseille in South of France then I will pick-up my 1964 coupe Karmann that I kept at my parents home near Avignon.
The goal is to make the road trip from Avignon to BC driving the Karmann.

If you Guys remember that car next year it will be me: Wink

You`re right, rare beats is one of the main reasons why those meetings are so convoited.
But don`t care if it is hard to find amoung other KG Smile the most important for me is to make the flight oversea drive my old vehicle cross crountries and participate to that Meeting.
