question about glue and door seals

I have to put on the door seals for my ghia - just looking for some advice on what to use to put them on.

Do people use 3m glue (like the kind with the little brush attached to the cap?) I would like to use something that wont make a mess on the paint if i take them off one day. Any suggestions would be appreciated - thanks.
