You need a BFH.
You can also try some heat to break the rust bond. _________________ Glenn

Maybe some proper penetrating oil rather than CRC or WD40 which aren't really suited as they're just light lubricants and water dispersants. CRC do one called called Penetr8 which isn't bad (and smells great ). Have had good results also with the likes of Kroil Oil (excellent stuff) and PB Blaster (have found PB Blaster on TradeMe before). Would like to try PlusGas but haven't been able to find it in NZ.
That and the BFH _________________ Do not follow me, for I may not lead. Do not lead me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either; actually just bugger off and stand over there will you. |

I would think an arbor press would be the way to go, as it reduces the possibility of impact damage to the body of the distributor. |

True but not many of us have the luxury. Usualy its the drive dog that gets banged up. Just be careful and forceful at the same time and it will come out.
That red dot is an interesting feature. That indicates that the advance weights have improved springs installed in them- a transitional thing. You might want to keep or reaffix the red dot when you are done with your resto. Is the date stamp somewhere around 4K? _________________ Roads Scholar &
