Shocked Your Thing looks beast!

7.00x15's front/31x10.5 rear right? I'm definitely considering a similar setup when I get the extra cash. Just need some mud tires out back since we get some nasty stuff around here.

Dead nuts on the tire combo, I need to get higher in the rear as the suspension has but 2" for travel till the tires rub...

Well I thought I would post in.

Here's a pic rt after we got tires and started getting street worthy after 3.5 yrs of "learn as you go" restoration.

2 bottom pics are from attending 1st VW Car show

still carrying paper plate as waiting on permanent tags at that time.

Nice thing Nikkoleto. Looks like your thing was in the parking lot at the "Bug-Out", seems like it would have done very well if you would have entered it in the show. Very Happy

It's a 78x94 2165cc. FK-8 cam, straight-cut cam gears, H-beam rods, the carbs are Dellorto 45's, 1-5/8" header from A-1. Weighted pulley and welded/balanced fan from Gene Berg. I finally tracked down a used type 1 DTM. I can't remember the specs on the heads, but they're whatever Steve Sands decided were the right ones. Steve handled the entire build including all of the machine work on the case and hand porting/polishing the heads.
