hey yall,
i recently bought a 74 standard autostick for $150, but its too rusty! so i bought a 72 super for $350 with no interior that im gonna fill with the 74 parts. anyway, since theres no interior in the 72 right now, i want to do it up right the first time. does anyone know if a 1303 convertible mirror with the dome light will just bolt into a sedan to give some extra light? i didnt think the windshield headers were any different, but maybe they are? cant wait to get buggin for cheap! thanks a heap, jq |

You would need to cut a hole in the interior window frame and snake wires down both "A" pillars to the door ajar switches and the fusebox. + from fusebox to the dome light, 2 minuus - (brown) wires to the two door switches. I would think that the shape of the window frame would be close enough to allow you to mount the mirror, though I haven't done it myself. Try checking out a junkyard cabrio to see the hole placement. Any year from '68 up should have the same basic mirror mounting.
The scavengers should have been helpful in removing the mirror to let you see how it hooks up. |

I am not sure that the seats from a 74 will go into the 72.
