People, people!!! What with all the Curtains= Sex= Love= Cuddles= Snuggles or = none of the above talk.
Yes the Model in the original post is the co-pilot of this ship.
She and the Pilot= Me enjoy a shower at the end of a long hot day on the Lake, Stream, River, Snow, Woods...etc...From MT. Biking to fishing to hiking.
To have a simple method to cleanse one's body "COMPLETELY" is always a plus at the end of said day. Once a method has been executed, it's all over,,, Shower Time!!!
Clean bodies might = a bit more closeness yes,, ok, ok... go build those shower rigs!!! She said.... _________________ VW

A shower/changing room curtain is in the works for the hatch. Bring a partner? Hmmm, I don't know about that one...
That's a great invention! _________________ ~Kamz

yeh, who says you can't enjoy a shower alone. I think that is quite some rig and it would simplify any inside the van dampness problem. _________________ '09 2.5L Jetta 5 cylinder, 5 spd, super turbo, see thread in H2O Cooled Jetta, etc...

FWIW - got an old style zodi (kind that fits on the 2 westy burners with pump in water tank or bucket, nozzle out drivers window [pvc lantern holder can hold nozzle]) and I find I like using the 1/4" plywood I have underneath the back cushion (cut to fit lays flat takes up no room and has more than one use) for a portable floor. |

I always filled 2 gallons of water and left them in the sun. Used 1/2 gallon to get wet and wet my washcloth. Use other 1.5 gallons to rinse.. _________________ www.sensiblewashington.org |

clever! Especially the pressurized option.. The clear window is clever too.
I did a quick search for clear PVC, I found it for $40 per 10 feet of 4" clear schedule 80

I've now joined the shower brigade.
(It actually hangs straight; there was a breeze blowing when I took the above pics.)
Plastic shower curtain holders across the back and two inside. I also took advantage of hatch curtain and rear screen snap posts. It overlaps about 6 inches; pull the inner flap back and the towel is waiting.
Now, I just have to test-run the Zodi shower to make sure it still works. _________________ ~Kamz

I have a shower (yet to install) that is based on a heat exchanger using engine coolant water. Works rain or shine and you don't need propane although taking a shower behind a running diesel Vanagon like mine does not sound that appealing.
Here is a DIY version:
http://biobug.org/jeep/zj/shower/
Here is an Australian company that makes them:
http://www.glind.com.au/index.php/PRODUCTS.html
Here is the kit I have that I still need to hook up:These guys have a lot of interesting shower and toilet stuff to look at.

I was planning on adding a hot water holding tank and circulate the water through it while I dive so that it's nice and hot when I get to where I'm going. That way I don't need to have the engine running while taking a shower. _________________ '87 Syncro Westfakia, 1.9TD ADE (AAZish), 068 Injection Pump, K03 turbo, 2.5" exhaust, Mercedes nozzles, SAAB Blackstone charge-cooler w/ 800cfm fan, Micro-1000 EGT sensor pre-turbo, boost at about 13psi, 235/70/16 with stock gearing |

They're regular plastic shower curtain holders, so they slip through the curtain holes as normal and then hook into the rectangular slots that run across the bottom of the hatch (do all Vanagons have those slots?). If you'd like a close-up, let me know.
Oh, if anyone is interested in the same idea (running a curtain all the way around the hatch so that water won't splash into the interior), it'll take 3 regular-sized shower curtains sewn together. _________________ ~Kamz
