has anyone ever thought of mass producing these for a more complete
conversion?
My complaint with the suby kitters is that they arent complete. Usually
being your first conversion, the list gets long in the tooth for most. It certainly did for me. |

I used the Small Car Performance bracket... made from bent sheet metal to bolt to the air cleaner mount. http://www.smallcar.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=29904
I don't know if you could produce welded brackets any cheaper. With theirs you don't have to drill the inside of the fender, so it's a little less work and less potential for rust. Seems plenty sturdy, after all, it's basically what VW mounted it on originally. It also supports it at the bottom like VW did, but I don't know if that really matters.

Yes, and the tab sticking up from the bottom fits into the slotted protrusion on the bottom of the burp tank. _________________ 1988 Wolfsburg Edition, 2001 Subaru EJ251 |
