Next Sunday is the SEVWA Northern challenge in Radford VA at MotorMile Dragway. The Martinsville Volks Club will once again do an early morning Caravan up the beautiful Route 8 to check out this show. We had 8 cars last year and so it should be a good turnout. This is a very popular event so don't miss out! Everyone loves the ride up. Everyone is welcome.
Meet location: Northside Baptist Church parking lot( just north of Bassett on route 57)
8911 Fairystone Park Hwy. Bassett, VA 24055
Meet time: 8:00 am
Caravan Stops: The Caravan will stop at the Hardee's in Floyd for a quick breakfast and head to the show.

Event results
The day started out gloomy with some early morning showers, but that soon faded away to Sunny Skies. A good number of new and used vendors arrived in hopes of selling some of their goods and the racers were getting ready in the pits for a good day of racing.
For this event, our numbers were extremely low all the way around. I am sure that the rain kept some at home, but we would like to Thank each and every one of you for making the trip and supporting the event. We did some extra advertising in different forms for this event, we don't know where everyone was. If you have any suggestions about how to let folks know. Please let us know. This track is a great facility and we would hate to lose it.
Special thanks go out to the NRVDubbers for all their help with the show, Holeshot Photos for the car show and race photos, Regina Mitchell and Porky Briggs for their assistance.
