It has no heater or side curtains, and the top isn't that great (it was stored in the front when I took this picture). |
Beautiful car... and would it be a reasonable assumption that one of the most annoying things anyone can probably say is "nice kit car?" Very nice machine! |

Thanks. I was the original builder and am the only owner.
I actually don't mind people saying "nice kit car". The comments about it being a homemade death trap (it's about as reliable as my Audi was and is as safe as a Jeep or a sports car) or a bug being sacrificed to build it (the donor bug was an undrivable insurance total with a smashed top).
There are actually a few people who think it's authentic, until they hear it start up or drive by. |

2006 Mini Cooper S
Funny thing I found a number of people looking at mini's were former VW air-cooled bug owners. Lots of comments like the most fun since my old bug... |

It's called a Centurion, it was a coachbuilt vehicle from the late 80s/early 90s. Ford did not build it. |

On initial glance at the photo itself, a cursory glance, at least, I thought it was the real deal, hence my previous comment about people saying 'nice kit car.' I was fooled! Lol.
Doesnt' change my opinion, though, very good looking ride. Can't say I see too many of those running around. I used to live in Eugene, BTW, now living in south central Oregon. |

Thanks... pretty much every authentic Fraser Nash is in a museum or is an unrestorable basketcase nowadays.
I'm planning on putting MGTD bumpers on it to replace the tube bumpers, and will eventually put authentic British-style wire wheels and a 17" Moto-Lita four-spoke wood steering wheel on it. There are no others in Eugene AFAIK, and I had a second parts car that I salvaged the engine cover, bonnet, door, teak dash with Lucas switches and Classic Instruments gauges, grille shell with Fraser Nash badge, top irons, seat and beam from since everything else was junk.
It's a lot of fun to drive, and I have put 2,000 more miles on it since the Audi went to the junkyard. |
